AGC Biologics To Supply Plasmid DNA for Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine
AGC Biologics, a contract biologics manufacturer, has announced its partnership with BioNTech, a Mainz, Germany-based immunotherapy company, to further supply plasmid DNA (pDNA) starting material for Pfizer’s and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine.

AGC Biologics will manufacture and supply BioNTech with pDNA starting material at its facility in Heidelberg, Germany.

Exelead To Assist in Mfg of Pfizer, BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine
Exelead, an Indianapolis Indiana-based CDMO, has reported it is assisting in the manufacturing for Pfizer’s and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine by dedicating a portion of its manufacturing capacity at its recently expanded facilities.

Exelead has also delivered its first vaccine precursor batch manufactured at its facility for the COVID-19 vaccine. The CDMO has expertise in  liposome, lipid nanoparticle and pegylation manufacturing technologies. Through its agreement with Pfizer, Exelead anticipates adding up to 50 new jobs.
