Lonza, Engitix in Licensing Pact for ADCs
Lonza and Engitix, a company focused on ECM-based drug discovery and development, have announced a licensing agreement to advance the development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
Under the agreement, Engitix will use Lonza’s ADC technology platform to develop differentiated therapeutic candidates designed to selectively deliver potent payloads to tumor-selective targets identified through Engitix’s proprietary human ECM discovery platform. Lonza, through one of its affiliated companies, is eligible to receive upfront, clinical, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments, plus royalties on net sales of resulting products. Lonza is responsible for manufacturing components that are related to its proprietary technologies, and Engitix is responsible for the research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of the ADCs.

Redwire Opens Microgravity Testing Facility for Pharma
Redwire, an aerospace company, has opened a new 30,000-square-foot research and microgravity payload development facility in Georgetown, Indiana. The facility will serve as a hub supporting space-enabled research, development, and manufacturing with a focus on pharmaceutical/biotech innovation.
The facility features advanced engineering and scientific laboratories as well as its own payload operations control center, Redwire’s central command post to oversee all science and research operations on the International Space Station in real-time. The facility also serves as a key operational site for Space Microgravity Development LLC (SpaceMD), Redwire’s venture company focused on applying the microgravity environment to create new innovations in biotech and other fields.
Earlier this year (March 2026), Redwire was awarded an additional $4 million from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the US government’s agency supporting space exploration and research, to support new drug development investigations on the International Space Station using Redwire’s Pharmaceutical In-space Laboratory (PIL-BOX) technology. This additional funding expands an existing five-year $25-million contract with NASA. In 2024, Bristol-Myers Squibb partnered with Redwire for small-molecule R&D using Redwire’s pharmaceutical drug development platform, PIL-BOX, and Lilly for developing treatments for chronic diseases.
