DCAT Announces Education Partnership with Michigan State University

The first of four programs will take place during DCAT Week 2022.

The Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association (DCAT) is pleased to announce a partnership with Michigan State University’s (MSU) Eli Broad College of Business to provide a series of professional development courses in 2022 to employees of DCAT Member Companies.

Developed by faculty members at MSU’s top-ranked Department of Supply Chain Management (U.S. News & World Report, 2022) and DCAT’s Supply Management Committee, and taught by MSU faculty members, the curriculum will give professionals a competitive edge to take on the next era of supply chain management.

“As supply chain management continues to evolve, these programs will be invaluable to supply management professionals at DCAT Member Companies looking to stay informed  of the latest trends and issues affecting the industry,” said Pedro Diaz Ferran, Senior Procurement Director, Primary Packaging, GlaxoSmithKline, and chair of DCAT’s Supply Management Committee, which helped bring the partnership to fruition.

The DCAT/MSU partnership will offer four education programs in 2022. The first, Supply Chain Digitalization, Business Analytics & Technology Applications, will be held on March 23, 2022, in New York City during DCAT Week, and will be presented by Dr. Cheri Speier-Pero, the Ernst & Young Professor in Accounting and Information Systems and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs at MSU’s Broad College of Business. The remaining three programs in 2022 will be held online. Programs are open to all employees of DCAT Member Companies.

“We are thrilled that DCAT will partner with the world-class faculty at Michigan State’s Department of Supply Chain Management,” said DCAT Executive Director Margaret Timony. “The DCAT organization is committed to providing unique, expert-driven education programs for our Member Companies, and we are pleased to offer this one-of-a-kind learning opportunity with MSU’s Supply Chain Management faculty, who are considered the voice of the Supply Chain Management field, as an added benefit to DCAT Member Companies.”
