Neuland Labs Investing $20 M in Process Development Facility
Neuland Laboratories, a CDMO of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), is investing $20 million in a process development laboratory and integrated kilo lab at its Genome Valley campus in Hyderabad, India. The new 135,000-square-foot facility will be operationalized in phases, with full completion expected by October 2026.

TriLink Opens Enzyme Mfg Facility To Support RNA Therapeutics
TriLink, a provider of raw materials for RNA therapeutics, vaccines, gene editing, and diagnostics, has opened a GMP enzyme manufacturing facility in Jupiter, Florida. The facility supports a coordinated supply of RNA manufacturing and in vitro transcription workflow materials from early research through commercial production. The company’s overall portfolio includes modified nucleotides, mRNA products, capping analogs and high-performance enzymes and tail technology.
The facility is supporting customer programs, with TriLink successfully shipping its first commercial GMP enzyme batch in June 2026.

Recipharm Expanding US Sterile Fill–Finish Capacity
Recipharm, a CDMO, has announced a multi-million-dollar investment in its US operations to expand sterile fill–finish services for biologics and advanced therapies. The announcement follows the company signing a clinical biologics fill–finish agreement with an undisclosed pharmaceutical company.
In addition, Recipharm is expanding its sterile manufacturing offering to provide integrated support spanning active pharmaceutical ingredient compounding, analytical transfer and validation, process characterization, process performance qualification as well as aseptic fill–finish manufacturing.

Codis Makes Senior Business Development Appointments
Codis, a CDMO specializing in commercial-scale spray drying, amorphous solid dispersions, and particle-engineering technologies, has announced three appointments within its business development function.
Codis has appointed Pedro Fernandes Botas, currently Associate Director, Business Development at Lotus Pharmaceutical, a Taiwan-based specialty pharmaceutical company, as Business Development Director, Europe. He held previous commercial roles at Hovione, Faes Farma, a Bilbao, Spain-based pharmaceutical company, Bene, a Lisbon, Portugal-based pharmaceutical company, and Labatec Pharma, a Meyrin, Switzerland-based pharmaceutical company.
The company has also appointed Suzanne Brady, PhD., currently Account Manager, Commercial Services at Hovione, as Business Development Director, US. In addition to Hovione, she held previous roles at Mikart, Serán Bioscience, and Lonza. In addition, Derek Deckrader, currently Director of Business Development at Pharma Tech, has been named as Business Development Director, US, based in St. Louis. In addition to Pharma Tech, he has previous commercial experience with Martin Bauer, a manufacturer and supplier of plant-based ingredients, and Sensient, a manufacturer of colors, flavors, and other specialty ingredients.

Catalent Launches AI-Based Tool for Quality Management
Catalent has announced the launch of Qai, an AI tool for use in its quality management systems, representing the first enterprise AI solution launched at Catalent.
The platform was built with the support of Microsoft using Microsoft AI technologies, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Foundry, with supporting data and analytics capabilities from Microsoft Fabric. It is designed to improve root cause identification and analysis and corrective and preventive action development.
