Nitto Avecia, a Milford, Massachusetts-headquartered provider of nucleic acid manufacturing and development services, has completed its first synthesis runs at the 1.6 mol scale at its new oligonucleotide manufacturing facility in Milford.

The move comes months after bringing into operation Avecia’s new active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing synthesis capabilities.  This manufacturing capacity expansion increased Avecia’s total synthesis capacity to more than 3 mol, according to Nitto.
