DCAT Members Tee off for STEM Education

This past Monday, DCAT Member Company representatives and their guests participated in the annual DCAT Scholarship Golf Outing at TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton, NJ. From the shotgun start to the concluding ceremony and awards dinner, the event provided DCAT Members with the perfect setting to relax and network while supporting the initiatives of DCAT and its volunteer-led committee, the Science & Scholarship Committee.

The Science & Scholarship Committee focuses on a variety of projects, including the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. The Committee is chaired by Jason Bertola, Executive Director, Commercial Development, Small Molecules, Lonza AG, and facilitated DCAT’s participation at the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF), which was held in Dallas, Texas from May 15-18, 2023. This year more than 1,600 finalists from 64 countries, regions, and territories competed for more than $9 million USD in awards and scholarships.

DCAT’s participation in the ISEF enables the organization to invest in the bio/pharmaceutical industry’s future by supporting young scholars who represent the geographic regions and areas of study reflected in the global membership of DCAT. This year DCAT awarded five high school students with $5,000 USD each in scholarship funding. Read more about the students and their projects here

On behalf of the DCAT Organization and the Science and Scholarship Committee, we would like to thank our participants and sponsors for helping make this year’s Scholarship Golf Outing a success!
