Vetter Gets Top Sustainability Rating & Expands Climate Goals
Vetter, a CDMO of aseptic filling and packaging, has received the EcoVadis Platinum rating as well as the official validation of its emission reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The official validation of the emission reduction targets by the SBTi approves Vetter’s sustainability roadmap: by 2034, the company aims to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 1 and 2 by 58.8% (baseline 2021). The planned reductions will be achieved through a mix of measures, including technical modernization of facilities and equipment, by leveraging energy recovery potentials such as waste heat, and transitioning to lower-carbon energy sources, such as replacing natural gas with biomethane.
