Enveda Raises $311 M To Support Small-Molecule Drug Candidates
Enveda, a Boulder, Colorado-based clinical-stage bio/pharmaceutical company with a proprietary AI platform based on natural products, has raised $311 million in Series E financing. This latest round brings the company’s total capital raised since inception to more than $845 million.
Enveda’s PRISM is the company’s AI-native platform for identifying biologically active molecules found in nature, and the company will use the proceeds to advance three ongoing clinical-stage medicines into later-phase development that were developed using the PRISM platform.
These medicines include ENV-294, a once-daily treatment for eczema and asthma currently in Phase II development, and ENV-308, a treatment for weight loss and metabolic health after stopping glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) medicines, into later-stage trials and additional indications, with new trials expected to begin in the coming months (as reported on September 23, 2026). Additionally, the proceeds will be used to advance ENV-6946, an oral treatment for inflammatory bowel disease currently in Phase I, through mid-phase trials as well as to bring additional medicines into clinical trials, including for other inflammatory and metabolic conditions and to continue scaling PRISM and the automated laboratory that feeds it.

Basecamp Raises $140 M To Support In Vivo Cell Therapy Candidate
Basecamp Research, a London-based bio/pharmaceutical company focused on AI-designed in vivo cell therapies, has raised $140 million in Series C financing to support its development of in vivo cell therapies. Basecamp Research is applying EDEN, its biological foundation model, to in vivo cell therapy – reprogramming a patient’s cells inside the body. By engineering cells inside the body, the in vivo approach aims to eliminate the complex external manufacturing, hospital conditioning, and costs associated with traditional cell therapies.

Lisata Therapeutics Acquires Marea Therapeutics
Lisata Therapeutics, a Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based clinical-stage bio/pharmaceutical company, has acquired Marea Therapeutics, a South San Francisco, California-based clinical-stage bio/pharmaceutical company focused on cardioendocrine diseases, which are diseases borne from cardiovascular and endocrine systems.
Marea has multiple late-stage clinical product candidates: MAR001/005 for severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG), a disease characterized by very high fasting triglyceride levels, currently in Phase IIb and MAR002 for the treatment of acromegaly, a disease that causes organs to grow larger due to the body overproducing growth hormones, which is advancing to a Phase II study.
The acquisition of Marea was structured as a stock-for-stock transaction to which all of Marea’s outstanding equity interests were exchanged based on a fixed exchange ratio for a combination of 1,793,129 shares of Lisata common stock and 211,365.213 shares of Series C non-voting convertible preferred stock.
Concurrently with the acquisition of Marea, Lisata entered into a definitive purchase agreement for a private placement financing with life sciences investors and other institutional investors to raise $225 million.
