BMS To Build New $173-M Radiopharmaceutical Facility
Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), through its subsidiary RayzeBio, has announced plans to build a new $173-million, 225,000-square-foot radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Whitestown, Indiana.
The new facility, which is expected to begin construction this year (2026), will complement RayzeBio’s current 77,000-square-foot radiopharmaceutical manufacturing in Indianapolis, Indiana, which supports clinical and commercial supply. By the end of 2029, BMS expects to have created 100 new jobs at the two facilities.
BMS acquired RayzeBio in 2014 for $4.1 billion to gain a pipeline of actinium-based radiopharmaceuticals for treating several types of solid tumors, including gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (rare tumors of the digestive tract or pancreas ), small-cell lung cancer, hepatocellular (liver) cancer, and prostate cancer.
