Evotec Provides Update to Strategic Plan
Evotec, a provider of drug-discovery, development and manufacturing services and a drug developer, has provided an update to its strategic plan following a review by the company.

The company says it will focus on two key pillars: (1) drug discovery and preclinical development (collectively called Shared R&D) and (2) Just – Evotec Biologics, which provides contract biomanufacturing services, including for continuous biomanufacturing. It will also streamline by approximately 30% its asset portfolio, which includes pipeline assets that it co-owns with bio/pharmaceutical companies as well as assets to be partnered,.

Last November (November 2024), Evotec announced the sale of its chemical active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing site, Evotec DS GmbH, located in Halle/Westphalia, Germany, to Monacum Partners GmbH, a Munich, Germany-based private equity firm. This transaction formed part of the company’s“Priority Reset” initiative launched in April 2024, which aims to foster profitable growth by refining the company’s operational footprint and focusing on its primary growth sectors and core competencies.

The company said that through its initiatives announced this month (April 2025), the company expects to deliver EUR 50 million ($57 million) in gross savings by 2028 on top of EUR 40 million ($46 million) from its Priority Reset initiative.
