Siegfried Opens Large-Scale API Facility 
Siegfried, a CDMO of drug substances and drug products, has inaugurated a new large-scale production facility for active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing in Minden, Germany. The facility adds 100 m³ of reactor capacity and includes high-containment capabilities.

Evonik Divests Select Pharma Ingredient Production Assets  
Evonik is selling select production assets for pharmaceutical ingredients in Hanau, Germany, to ProChem, a German contract manufacturer, as part of a streamlining of its asset footprint in the company’s Health Care business. The deal was slated to close June 19, 2026.  

The Hanau site manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and pharmaceutical lipids. As part of Evonik’s Health Care business’s growth strategy, the company discontinued its keto acid production in Hanau at the end of 2025. The entire portfolio of pharmaceutical-grade keto and amino acids is now consolidated under the brand Rexim at Evonik sites in Wuming, China and Ham, France. Evonik’s Hanau-based GMP facility for advanced pharmaceutical lipids, used in drug‑delivery technologies such as RNA therapeutics, will continue to operate. The divestment to ProChem is in line with Evonik’s strategy to focus on core technologies that include advanced oral and injectable drug-delivery technologies and biosolutions such as lipids for mRNA and gene delivery, and advanced cell‑culture ingredients.

Aurobindo Launches Biologics CMO TheraNym 
Aurobindo Pharma, a Hyderabad, India-based generics/biosimilars company and CDMO, has launched a biologics CMO, TheraNym Biologics, with a new large-scale biomanufacturing facility in Borapatla, India. The facility is equipped with 15,000-L bioreactors, downstream processing suites, aseptic fill–finish capabilities, and quality control laboratories. It anchor custom is MSD (name for Merck & Co. outside the US and Canada) and will support MSD’s supply chain, both domestic and export markets, subject to applicable approvals and customer requirements.

Shilpa Biologicals Commissions End-to-End ADC Facility 
Shilpa Biologicals, a CDMO of biologics and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), has commissioned a GMP ADC manufacturing facility in Dharwad, India. The facility is fully operational, with GMP qualification protocols underway. The facility provides end-to-end ADC drug-substance development and manufacturing that encompasses payload synthesis, linker development and manufacturing, monoclonal antibody production, ADC conjugation, and purification of GMP-scale drug substances.

SK pharmteco Launches Multimodal Viral Vector Platform 
SK pharmteco, a CDMO of small-molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients and cell and gene therapies, has launched Skyvec, a proprietary, multimodal viral vector platform for gene-therapy programs. The platform encompasses a viral vector development and manufacturing framework spanning cell-line and plasmid inputs, process development, and drug-substance manufacturing, with adaptable workflows to meet either drug-substance or drug-product-level requirements depending on the therapeutic application.

Sartorius, LFB Biomanufacturing Expand Bioprocessing Partnership 
Sartorius, a provider of products and services to the life-sciences industry, including for bioprocessing, and LFB Biomanufacturing, a CDMO of biologics, have expanded their existing collaboration, formed in 2024, to provide services for cell-line development to first batch of GMP drug-substances. The partnership will combine Sartorius’ expertise in cell-line development and master cell-bank manufacturing with capabilities from LFB, including upstream and downstream process development, analytical development and testing, and GMP drug-substance manufacturing.

Minaris Upgrades Cell-Banking Suites 
Minaris, a cell and gene therapy CDMO and provider of biosafety testing services, has announced the enhancement of its GMP cell-banking suites at its Philadelphia facility to provide GMP cell banking and integrated characterization testing for clinical and commercial programs.

Argonaut, Ensera Form Strategic Partnership in Fill–Finish 
Argonaut Manufacturing Services, a sterile fill–finish CDMO and Ensera, a CDMO specializing in final assembly and secondary packaging for drug-delivery systems, have formed a strategic partnership. Argonaut provides aseptic fill-finish of vials, syringes, and cartridges, and Ensera complements these capabilities with final assembly of drug-delivery devices, labelling, secondary packaging, kitting, serialization, sterilization management, and testing of vials and drug-delivery devices. Through the partnership, customers can use a quotation process covering both organizations’ services before starting a project. Argonaut has completed an audit of Ensera’s US facility and approved Ensera as a supply-chain partner.

Packaging 

Alcami Investing in US Packaging Facility 
Alcami, a CDMO of drugs products, a contract packager, and provider of analytical testing services, has announced a series of investments at its packaging facility in Clinton, Tennessee following its acquisition of the contract packager, Tjoapack, in May (May 2026). 

Alcami is integrating the Tennessee site into its enterprise-wide Quality Management System (QMS), and the site will adopt MasterControl, the digital QMS platform already implemented across Alcami’s US network. The company is also restructuring its Quality and Operations teams. In parallel, several packaging lines will be upgraded with increased line speeds, new equipment, and the introduction of serialization capabilities. In addition, Alcami is investing in a new high-speed bottle packaging line, which is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.
