Alembic Inuagarates New Drug-Product Manufacturing Facility

Alembic Pharmaceuticals, a Mumbai, India-headquartered pharmaceutical company, has inuagarated  a new manufacturing facility focused on anticancer treatments with an investment of Rs 300 crores at its site in Panelave, Halol, Gujarat, India.

The facility has initial manufacturing capacity of 60 million tablets and capsules and about 20 million vials of liquid injectable and lyophilized concentrates. This manufacturing facility is designed with containment control automated standards, and major equipment has been imported, such as Bosch from Germany, GEA from Belgium, Alexanderwerk from the UK, ICOS from Italy, and Tofflon from China.
