Aptar Pharma has nearly completed its expansion at its Congers, New York manufacturing site, with the new space to be employed for injectable elastomeric component manufacturing. Final construction is planned by the end of the first quarter of 2017. Aptar anticipates shipping validation batches in the second quarter of 2017.

The added space will house cleanrooms and integrated vision equipment, which will be used to perform automated inspection of all parts during the finishing process.

The expansion is part of a stepped program to increase Aptar Pharma’s footprint in the US and is part of the company’s multiyear investment program supporting the growth of its injectables business.
