Aptuit LLC has recently invested in a twin-screw extruder, Thermo Fisher 16, to add hot-melt extrusion (HME) technology extending its range of technologies for processing poorly soluble drugs. The addition of theHME technology complements the company’s existing micronization, wet-bead nanomilling, and spray-drying capabilities, as technologies for improving processing of poorly soluble drugs.
