Arven Pharmaceuticals, a Toksoz Group Company headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, is expanding its cell-line production capacity at its facility in Kirklareli, Turkey, using GE Healthcare’s FlexFactory manufacturing platform, which is a centrally automated, flexible biomanufacturing platform comprised primarily of single-use bioreactor technologies and associated process hardware integrated with automation and control components.

The addition of the FlexFactory platform will support Arven’s biosimilars pipeline moving through clinical studies to regulatory approval. The company notes that Turkey has been focusing on local production of biotechnological products.

FlexFactory is also the manufacturing platform incorporated within GE Healthcare’s proprietary modular biomanufacturing facility, KuBIO.
