AGC Asahi Glass (AGC), a Tokyo-based manufacturer of glass, chemicals, and high-tech materials, has acquired all shares of Biomeva from Biomeva Holding GmbH, a Heidelberg, Germany-based biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing organization. Biomeva’s services include process development for therapeutic protein expression, cGMP-compliant fermentation, purification, and bulk filling as well as analytical testing and cell banking. Biomeva will be integrated into AGC’s life sciences business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
