Austin Chemical Company, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based pharmaceutical procurement and logistics service provider, has formed a joint venture with Syncom BV, a Groningen, Netherlands-based pharmaceutical contract synthesis company, and ChemConnection BV, an Oss, Netherlands-based GMP licensed contact manufacturing company. The joint venture company has been named SynConnection.

The joint venture combines a range of specialized technologies to develop active pharmaceutical ingredients. The companies behind SynConnection have built upon their histories of pharmaceutical development to provide chemical contract development services for small- and mid-sized pharma and biotech companies.

SynConnection offers specialized investigational new drug/investigational medicinal product dossier (IND/IMPD) enabling technologies, including chiral resolution and process development, GMP manufacturing of highly potent materials, complex purifications, analytical development and validation, nanomedicines manufacturing, and global logistics and procurement.
