Dr. Paul Lohmann (DPL-US) has announced that Dr. Paul Lohmann GmbH KG, the Emmerthal, Germany-based manufacturer of mineral salt products, has terminated a long-standing agreement with Avantor Performance Materials, based in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, for the import, marketing, and distribution of its ferrous sulfate products in the US. As of July 1, 2016, DPL-US, with offices in Islandia, New York, is the exclusive importer and distributor of the entire ferrous sulfate product line in North America for Dr. Paul Lohmann GmbH KG. This new arrangement includes all variants and specifications of ferrous sulfate dried powder as well as ferrous sulfate 7-hydrate (Hepta).

The now-terminated agreement was originally signed in 1990 with Mallinckrodt Specialty Chemicals. In more recent years these ferrous sulfate products had been marketed by its successor organizations under the Avantor and JT Baker brands. Avantor received the contractual 12-month notice from Dr. Paul Lohmann GmbH KG by the end of June 2015, allowing Avantor a full year to notify its customers.

DPL-US will serve all bulk business in standard 25-kilogram pack sizes directly out of its warehouses in New Jersey and California.
