Eisai To Relocate US HQ to Former Roche HQ in NJ

Eisai’s US subsidiary, Eisai Inc., has announced plans to re-locate its US headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey to the former Roche headquarters campus in Nutley, New Jersey. The move is expected to be completed in late 2021 and will transfer up to 1,200 Eisai corporate staff and research & development functions.

Prism Capital Partners, owners Eugene Diaz and Edwin Cohen, is the real estate developer for the 116-acre site, now called ON3. Eisai will fully occupy 200 Metro Boulevard, the campus’ flagship office tower. The 15-story building will house existing employees and allow for company expansion.

Prism Capital Partners bought the site, which spans Nutley and Clifton, New Jersey, in 2016, three years after Roche vacated the premises. Since then, the redeveloped site has added several new tenants: a school of medicine operated by Hackensack Meridian Health and Seton Hall University; a research center, the Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Discovery and Innovation; a relocation of Seton Hall University’s Graduate College of Nursing and School of Health and Medical Sciences; Modern Meadow, a producer of biomaterials for biofabrics; and Quest Diagnostics, which is developing a 250,000-square-foot laboratory at ON3, scheduled to be completed in 2021.
