EMD Serono Appoints Market Access SVP
EMD Serono, the biopharmaceutical business of Merck KGaA, has appointed Robert Truckenmiller as senior vice president, Market Access & Customer Solutions. Truckenmiller succeeds Scott Filosi, who was recently appointed to a new position within Merck KGaA as the head of Global Market Access & Pricing.
In this role, Truckenmiller will oversee the development of US market access strategy and implementation as well as payer contracting and reimbursement strategies, to help enable patient access to EMD Serono medications.
Truckenmiller joined EMD Serono in July 2016 as vice president, Market Access & Customer Solutions, where he implemented new processes and procedures to optimize development and operations of all EMD Serono contracted business.
Prior to EMD Serono, Truckenmiller served as vice president and head of US Market Access & Pricing at UCB, where he led a large team in developing a market access strategy. He spent eleven years at UCB, taking on roles of increasing responsibility across market access and brand marketing. Additionally, he has more than 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in various sales and marketing roles at companies such as Johnson & Johnson and DaVita Kidney Care, a Denver, Colorado-headquartered provider of kidney-care services n the US.
