Fresenius Kabi, a healthcare company based in Bad Homburg, Germany that specializes in infusion drugs and technologies, plans to invest nearly $250 million to expand its site in Melrose Park, Illinois to increase production capacity for injectable generic pharmaceuticals. The multi-stage expansion at the facility, just outside of Chicago, will include construction of a number of new buildings. Completion is scheduled for 2026.
