Heritage Pharma Makes Executive Leadership Changes

Heritage Pharmaceuticals, an East Brunswick, New Jersey-based specialty generic pharmaceutical company, has appointed William S. Marth, former President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AMRI, as President and CEO, North America and Europe, of the company’s parent, Heritage Pharma Holdings. Marth will also be appointed as a member of the company’s Board of Directors and as a member of the Board of Directors for two of the company’s affiliates, Marcan Pharmaceuticals (Canada) and Emcure Pharma UK (Europe).

Marth previously served as the President and CEO for AMRI, a global contract research and manufacturing organization, until January 2018. From 1999 until 2012, Marth played a role in establishing Teva Pharmaceuticals in specialty pharmaceuticals in increasingly important positions and served as the President and CEO of Teva Americas until his retirement in 2012, remaining as a senior advisor to Teva until December 2013.

Marth is a licensed pharmacist and serves on various public and private boards and committees. Previously, Marth served as the Chairman of the Board for the Association for Accessible Medicines (formerly called the Generic Pharmaceutical Association) in 2008 and 2009 and the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists in 2010.

Heritage Pharmaceuticals has also appointed John W. Denman as President of Heritage Pharmaceuticals. Denman has experience in the commercial side of generic pharmaceuticals, including customer-related agreements, programs, and third-party payors, product portfolio selection, product launch, and product life-cycle management.

Denman joins Heritage from Renaissance SSA, a proprietary drug-product manufacturer based in Newtown, Pennsylvania, where he served as the President and CEO in charge of the Sterile Products Division. Previously, in his more than 16 years in the generic pharmaceutical industry, Denman worked for Renaissance Pharma, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Sandoz, where he held a variety of leadership roles, with responsibility for commercial operations, sales and marketing, and global customer service.
