Imprimis Pharmaceuticals, a San Diego-based pharmaceutical company, has entered into a product purchase and supply agreement with the specialty pharmacy division of an unnamed major pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) company to supply Imprimis’ formulary of low-cost compounded medications through the PBM’s network of specialty pharmacies.

Under the agreement, Imprimis will supply all formulations included under its Imprimis Cares formulary, including patent-pending tiopronin delayed-release formulations, an alternative to Thiola (tiopronin); pyrimethamine and leucovorin formulations, an alternative to Daraprim (pyrimethamine); dropless therapy injectable and LessDrops topical formulations; and additional compounded drug formulations.
