LabVantage Appoints Vice President, Sales and MarketingBy
LabVantage Solutions, a Somerset, New Jersey-based laboratory informatics provider, has appointed Robert T. Voelkner as vice president, sales and marketing, to oversee business planning and sales strategies as well as all marketing initiatives. Voelkner had served as LabVantage’s manager of global strategic accounts and sales drector since 2009.
Joining the company’s executive leadership team, Voelkner will continue to develop and maintain business relationships in a number of industries, including pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, clinical, food & beverage, and process chemicals. He will oversee marketing initiatives that emphasize LabVantage’s technology, industry-specific solutions, and integrated services and support.
Prior to joining LabVantage in 2009, Voelkner was Americas sales manager for the laboratory information management system (LIMS) division of Applied Biosystems. Previously, he spent seven years in multiple sales leadership positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Informatics and Services division. He started his career at Beckman Coulter, a Brea, California-based biomedical manufacturer, as a senior software developer working on LIMS and chromatography data systems, progressing to director of global sales and marketing of its Laboratory Automation Operations division.
