Marken To Move Chicago Operations to New Full-Service Facility

Marken, a Research Triangle Park, North Carolina-based provider of logistics and supply-chain services for clinical trial materials, is relocating its Chicago logistics hub into a new, larger facility near the Chicago airport.

The new full-service facility is equipped with cold-chain technology, including: a walk-in freezer, a walk-in cold room, ultra-low temperature freezers, and conditioning areas for special cold-chain packaging. The new facility offers temperature ranges of: +2 to +8 degrees Celsius, -15 to -25 degrees Celsius, +15 to +25 C degrees Celsius and -30 to -60 degrees Celsius. A liquid-nitrogen service station is planned for later this year (2018) in order to support Marken’s cell and gene transportation services.

The new facility is GDP-compliant to support regulated shipments of clinical trial materials throughout the Midwest in the US. Marken’s North America Region operates from seven logistics hubs in the US, including: New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
