MilliporeSigma Opens Lab for Biologics Services in Singapore
MilliporeSigma has opened a new $20-million 3,800-square-meter laboratory in Singapore for biologic testing services. The new lab complex involves the company’s BioReliance biosafety testing services as well as its M Lab Collaboration Center, which provides non-GMP lab space for training, hands-on demonstrations, and process optimization.
“Our new BioReliance lab in Singapore is the first of its kind for biomanufacturing in this region,” said Udit Batra, Chief Executive Officer, MilliporeSigma in a September 18, 2018 company statement. “And our reimagined M Lab Collaboration Center, which recreates an actual manufacturing environment, emerged as part of our close work with the Singapore Economic Development Board.”
MilliporeSigma’s M Lab Collaboration Center is designed to recreate an actual manufacturing environment and the Singapore center is the latest addition to MilliporeSigma’s network of nine M Lab Collaboration Centers worldwide.
The lab allows customers to recreate their specific processes for troubleshooting critical process issues without impacting their own production line. The center includes an upgraded suite of digital interactive applications for knowledge sharing and technical exploration.
