Mylan Launches Generic of AstraZeneca’s Crestor

Mylan has launched rosuvastatin calcium tablets, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg, a generic version of AstraZeneca's anti-cholesterol drug, Crestor, in the US following final approval of its abbreviated new drug application by the US Food and Drug Administration.

Rosuvastatin calcium tablets, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg, had US sales of approximately $6.7 billion for the 12 months ending May 31, 2016, according to IMS Health, and as reported by Mylan.
