Parexel Launches Tracking Service for Temperature-Controlled Medicines
Parexel International, a Waltham, Massachusetts-based contract research organization, has launched an active tracking service that provides near real-time temperature and location monitoring of investigational medicinal products from central distribution centers to clinical trial sites.
Parexel’s active tracking service is supported by the company’s clinical trial supply and logistics global depot and service network and uses supply-chain monitoring technology to detect incidents such as shipment delays, shipment diversions, and temperature deviations. Combined with the company’s randomization and trial supply management interactive response technology, temperature and location data are automatically sent in near real-time to clinical trial sites for assessment.
