Patheon, a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Evoke Pharma, a Solana Beach, California-headquartered specialty pharmaceutical company focused on treatments for gastrointestinal diseases, have signed a pact under which Patheon will manufacture Gimoti, Evoke’s nasal delivery formulation of metoclopramide for the relief of symptoms associated with acute and recurrent diabetic gastroparesis.

Thermo Fisher is a global contract development and manufacturing organization with capabilities for the preparation, fill, and finish of nasal spray products. Under the five-year agreement, Thermo Fisher will manufacture Gimoti for Evoke’s potential commercial efforts.
