PCI Pharma Services Appoints Chief Executive Officer

PCI Pharma Services, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based pharmaceutical contract service provider, has appointed Salim Haffar, as Chief Executive Officer to take effect later in 2018. Haffar is currently President of Aptar Pharma, a manufacturer of drug-delivery systems for nasal applications, and Haffar is leaving this role, effective September 1, 2018. Haffar will succeed Bill Mitchell, who will step down as President and CEO of PCI Pharma Services, and who assume the position of Executive Co-Chairman.

Haffar joins PCI with over 22 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Haffar oversaw Aptar Pharma’s growth strategy and journey to become a global provider of drug-delivery systems across three end markets: prescription, consumer healthcare, and injectables. During his tenure at AptarGroup, Haffar also served as President of Aptar Pharma’s prescription division, Co-President of Valois Group, and President of Valois Pharma. Haffar has also served as Senior Vice President, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) at Capsugel.
