Quotient Clinical, a contract development and manufacturing organization based in Nottingham, the UK, has expanded its pharmaceutical sciences capabilities by doubling capacity through the acquisition of a second GMP manufacturing facility and the construction of new formulation development and pharmaceutical analysis laboratories.

The new laboratories, based within the company's existing Nottingham facility, have a footprint of approximately 8,000 square feet. The new GMP manufacturing facility is located in the MediCity innovation hub in Nottingham and has a footprint of 3,000 square feet. It consists of eight multipurpose suites, with the capacity available to manufacture drug products on a large scale as well as high-potency molecules. The facility is scheduled to become operational later in 2015 following an inspection by UK regulatory authorities.
