Recipharm Appoints President, Development Services
Recipharm, a Jordbro, Sweden-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has appointed Bernard Pluta as president of development services to lead its new global development organization.
Recipharm says the newly established position forms part of the ongoing transformation of Recipharm’s development services. The company says it will cover end-to-end development services, ranging from development of the active compound to providing dossiers for marketing authorization applications.
Pluta is currently the general manager of Recipharm’s manufacturing and development operations in Pessac, France and recently led a group-wide project focusing on coordinating Recipharm’s development capacities in Sweden, Italy, France, US, India, and Israel.
Pluta has experience in the pharmaceutical and CDMO industry having held executive positions with Merck & Co., Teva, and Theramex, Teva’s recently sold women’s health unit. He also ran his own consultancy business before joining Recipharm in 2015.
In his role as president, development services, Bernard Pluta will report to Chief Executive Officer Thomas Eldered and be a part of the group management team. Bernard will continue as general manager of Recipharm in Pessac, France until a successor has been appointed.
Recipharm says its new development organization will be implemented during the first half of 2018. Development services will continue to be reported as part of the development & technology segment of Recipharm.
