Regeneron Plans To Add 400 Jobs at Irish Biomfg Facility

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, a Tarrytown, New York-based biopharmaceutical company, reports that it will add more than 400 new jobs at its Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) campus in Limerick, Ireland, to bring the total headcount at the site to over 1,400.

Regeneron’s 64,000 square-meter IOPS facility includes a large-scale bulk biologics production facility. The facility became operational in 2015 and now employs more than 1,000 people. IOPS is responsible for the production, packaging, labeling and supply of Regeneron medicines.

The new jobs will support the production of Regeneron’s existing medicines. The company is maximizing manufacturing capacity at its New York facility for REGN-COV2, its investigational two-antibody combination being developed for the potential treatment and prevention of COVID-19 infection.

The company says recruitment is underway to hire full-time, high-end specialists in commercial manufacturing, process sciences, quality assurance/quality control, supply chain, and various support functions for scientists, chemists and technicians.
