Ropack Pharma Solutions, a Montreal, Quebec, Canada-headquartered contract development and manufacturing organization, selected TraceLink, a North Reading, Massachusetts-based track-and-trace solutions provider, to provide serialization solutions for Ropack’s customers using TraceLink’s life-sciences cloud to prepare for a November 2017 deadline for serialization requirements under the US Drug Supply Chain Security Act.

Ropack provides solid oral dosage packaging solutions to pharmaceutical and natural health organizations throughout Canada and the US. The company plans to launch an international serialization hub at its Montreal facility. The hub will enable packaged pharmaceutical products to be sent by an organization’s in-house packaging team or contract partners to the Montreal facility. Using the TraceLink Life Sciences Cloud and Optel Vision, the packaged products are serialized, aggregated, and then shipped with the appropriate compliance documentation, to a distribution network or another warehouse.
