Sartorius Stedim Biotech, a supplier for the biopharmaceutical industry, has acquired the Scottish company BioOutsource Ltd., a provider of contract testing services for monitoring the safety and quality of biologic drugs and vaccines, particularly for drug characterization and comparability and for lot-release testing. 

BioOutsource is based in Glasgow, UK, and has been operating in the biotechnology market since 2007. It has approximately85 employees and annual revenues of approximately EUR 9 million ($9.7 million).
