Therapure Biopharma Inc., a biopharmaceutical company based in Ontario, has received $20 million in funding from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario's Advanced Manufacturing Fund (AMF), a fund supporting the development of technologies by Ontario manufacturers.

Therapure specializes in manufacturing biologics for medical use with plasma-derived proteins. The support from the AMF will allow Therapure to advance a new technology for manufacturing plasma proteins. The company estimates that this grant will create 91 new jobs at its Mississauga facility.
