Vetter Continues Investment in Site Expansion

Vetter Pharma, a Ravensburg, Germany-headquartered contract development and manufacturing organization for aseptic filling and final packaging of injectables, is creating a new administration building at its Schuetzenstrasse, Ravensburg site. Scheduled to be completed by the middle of 2019, the new building is part of an ongoing investment strategy designed to further develop Vetter sites and make available additional manufacturing capacities.

Following its completion, the new building will have a useable area of 25,000 square meters (269,000 square feet). The new office building is designed to provide working spaces in a process-oriented manner to enable interdisciplinary project teams to work together on common tasks without the barrier of distance. In addition, cooperation between elements of the administrative departments as well as the development and manufacturing sites, also located at the Schuetzenstrasse site, will be simplified.

In January 2017, as part of its ongoing investments, the company began operations in its expanded visual inspection and logistics center in Ravensburg. The company invested approximately EUR 100 million ($107 million) to expand this center to combine capacity for final product inspection and logistics in one site. With the expansion, Vetter now has more than double the capacity for quality-control, cold-storage, and room-temperature storage.
