Wasdell Invests in Packaging Facility
Wasdell, a Newcastle, UK-headquartered packaging company, plans to build a pharmaceutical packaging facility in Dundalk, Ireland.
Wasdell says the facility will provide offer quality-control import testing, a variety of current and novel packaging technologies as well as storage and distribution. The site will be operational by the fourth quarter of 2018 and will incorporate serialization technology.
The facility will be a purpose-built, 70,000-square-foot, self-contained site located at the IDA Dundalk Science and Technology Park in Mullagharlin, Dundalk, Ireland.
Phase One of the build is planned to occupy a 2.88-hectare site and represent an investment in excess of EUR 30 million ($35 million) and create 300 jobs. Wasdell also holds the land options to expand the site further with an additional 2.68 hectares.
