Catalent Pharma Solutions has entered into an exclusive long-term supply agreement to produce Pfizer’s Advil Liqui-Gels Minis, an over-the counter pain medication, using Catalent’s softgel platform, OptiGel Mini technology. The agreement follows a 20-year collaboration between the companies on the development and manufacture of Advil Liqui-Gels (ibuprofen).

The product delivers pain relief in a more concentrated fill that results in a smaller, more convenient capsule, according to information from Catalent. Smaller capsules are easier to swallow for consumers who may have difficulty swallowing, especially for the pediatric and geriatric patients.
