Merck KGaA Donates Worm-Disease Drug to WHO
Merck KGaA has donated its 500 millionth tablet of praziquantel to the World Health Organization to treat the worm disease, schistosomiasis. The medicine will be distributed in the Ivory Coast in Africa. The company has said it is committed to donating up to an additional 250 million tablets annually until the disease is eliminated.
